Audi’s CEO: “By 2018 we will add 8 new RS models in the market.”

Audi’s CEO Stephan Winkelmann, who left Lamborghini and now leads Audi, told “Autocar” magazine that Audi will  double high-performance RS models.

RS models are more powerful and faster than stock vehicles. In total there are eight models that will launch by early 2018 at the latest. Actually we have 7 RS models: RS3, RSQ3, RS4, RS5, RS6, RS7 and TTRS and within a year and a half (18 months) the number of RS models will go to 15. It’s still unknown what RS new models will be,but rumours say that it can be an RS1, RSQ5 and even an R8 RS-model is possible.

This movement comes also as an asnwer for Mercedes-Benz who exceeding its AMG models. But Wilkelmann didn’t accept comparision with Mercedes and said that RS models will stay unique and that’s not an answer to anybody.
